I've been loosing some of the pictures of things I have made so I to put them here on this blog since this is my craft surfing blog to keep track of my stuff. You can look if you want but it mostly for me to refer back too.
Sorry I know that I said I would make a tutorial in Aug. but I had some unexpected surgery and can't do anything major until Oct. I would much rather be crafting than healing, but sometimes I just don't get my way.
This is a matching game, with family members pictures mod podge on them.
This I made for my Grand Daughter, each picture is mod podged on individual peaces of wood for a 3D affect.
What's for dinner? what every mother hates to hear. the stick represent the meals we like, family members pick the meals and puts them in the day they want to eat them. I do my shopping for this. (more info in comment section if you want to know more)
Home another 3D piece. the lettering is done in vinyl to give a tile look. I also made a freestanding frame around it, it can be hung or set on a shelf.
"Home sweet Home" wood blocks, mod podge scrapbook paper with the edges of the paper burnt with black vinyl lettering.
both of these for my freestanding frames with a quote on them in vinyl.
The family proclamation to the world. I enlarged the proclamation and then double stick taped family pictures around the edges, and made a frame for it.
Candles stick holders, I bought some wood pieces at a hardware store and added some other pieces to it.
Wood Puzzle, this one is very hard to get right. It's a very challenging puzzle with more than one way to put it together. But very fun.
Recipe card holder. You magnet your recipes on the metal.
USA! I had some vinyl with the three different colors on it I wanted to try and thought this would be great for a USA project. these are just big blocks.
Wood stacker, wish the letters stood out longer, but love the saying "The most important thing a dad can do for his children is to love their mother."
6 puzzles in one.
Large table top tic tac toe game.
Sorry I will be back to update more pictures, but I've ran out of time.
See ya soon.
Kim I put a link from my craft blog to yours . . .:)
ReplyDeleteI would love to know what you used for the very first picture. I'd love to make that for my Meme for her 88th birthday next weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would need to know is...
Deletedo you do wood work on your own because everything on that craft I made myself except the hooks. If not I might Have to come up with an easier version for those who don't.
How did you make the "When I count my blessing, I count" framed counter? I would like to make it for grandparents this Christmas.
DeleteI too would love a tutorial on the "When I count my blessings" board. What a great idea for Mother's day!

I think I could figure out how to improvise one...just wondering what kind of hooks you used, what is the quote printed out on, and on the black hanging numbers, is that written out in chalk or what is it?
Deletethe hook are by the cup hooks at home depot or lowes, I believe Wal-mart may have them too. They are kinds L shape, I bend the hook a little flat so that you can get the numbers on and off easier.
Deletethe quote is done in vinyl, I cut vinyl so I didn't order this anywhere, I designed it myself. Same with the numbers.
Can you tell me the size frame you made for the first picture? I do all my own wood work and am making this one with a few friends in May. Also is it vinyl for the words or just printed on paper? Thanks! Love all your ideas
ReplyDeleteI like everyone else would like to figure out an easy way for making the first picture,"When i count my blessings" I don't do wood work, so i was thinking of just buying a frame, if i did that how would you put the hooks in? do you have a piece of wood behind that you put the hooks through?
ReplyDeleteTHanks!! all your stuff is adorable! i wish i was more crafy and could do all that! haha
Very cute crafts! You have a lot of great ideas.
ReplyDeleteI would love instructions on how you made the count my blessings project. I am not used to working with wood but I'm sure that I could figure it out with some guidance from your directions. :)
ReplyDeleteJoining in on the request for some instructions on the count my blessings project. I don't do woodwork but my hubby does, between the two of us we could figure it out, This would be perfect gift for my Grandma's upcoming birthday!
ReplyDeleteI would like info on how you did the "tell me stories of Jesus" one. Is that a custom mat? Are those just the small Greg Olson type pictures you can get at the bookstore?
ReplyDeleteI would love to know the instructions how you made the count my blessings. Hubby and i do wood working.
ReplyDeletewould love to know how to do the count my blessings .... I don't woorwork
ReplyDeleteIn August I will do a tutorial for this.
DeleteI want to know how you did the meal plan/popsicle stick thing. I think this would get my kids excited about learning to cook. It looks fairly simple, my question is are the meals on the left ones that you need to make and the ones on the days things that you did make or are the ones in the days things that you already made and the things on the left ones that you draw from to make? Just wondering if you had a good system. Sorry for the confusing wording.
ReplyDeleteSorry, it's taken so long to get back with you. the sticks in the big hole is just all different meal that my family likes. and the ones in the days of the weeks are the meals we are making that day.
DeleteNobody ever knows what they want for dinner, and I never know what to make, so I made this, I had it to the loved ones and tell them to pick what they want for dinner. Then I do all my shopping for the week in what they picked.
I do however have the right to change the order around. So that if I need an ingredient that works for more than one meal I can put those meals closer together. Same as If I need an easier meal for a certain night because of other commitments.
Hope this helps.
I would love to know how you did the "Counting my Blessings" I am in love with it!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Momma Brown. How do you make that? My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, and I would love to make something like this as a gift for my parents when we announce it (I may be a little presumptuous, but I like to think ahead).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't do much wood working, but I do have some friends who know how to and are willing to help me with it.
DeleteI would also love to know how you did the count your blessings...Im also don't do too much wood working. What an awesome idea! And perfect mother's day present
ReplyDeleteDo you sell any of these crafts?
ReplyDeletewhich one do you have in mind?
DeleteWould it be possible to purchase the "When i count my blessings I count..."??? I absolutely love this and would be perfect for my grandparents! I am not crafty at all so this would be a huge challenge for me and would rather purchase it if possible. Let me know please!
